- The time I started karate was a nice experience. I had the best time I ever had. I had a master named James. And he told me not to ever give up and always try my best. The first time I got there I was kind of nervous cause I didn't know anybody there and I thought it was just going to be about breaking boards. But master James told me that it was about self defence and respect and honor. I took karate for 3 years and every year I got better. Then it finally came when I got to break a a wooden board. The first couple of times I didn't even make a dent in it and my hand started to bleed. But then I frustrated so I put all my power into it and the wood broke and something else broke. And it was my hand my mom took me to the hospital and the doctor told me that I will be in a cast for one year. That was the last time I did karate. That's all for now peace in the middle east.

Demond,
ReplyDeleteCan you explain the feeling you had as you prepared to break the board? I would love to hear you describe the technique you were supposed to use and what went wrong. I think you could really have the start of something here. Read your entries aloud to yourself before you post them. You are making mistakes that seem to come from thinking faster than you write.
